The Irish Film Institute, in association with University College Cork and the Huston School of Film & Digital Media, is pleased to announce two days of events at the Irish Film Centre to commemorate the centenary of the birth of Greta Garbo
Events include:
Ø A two day conference featuring a range of speakers from Ireland, UK, Europe and the US
Ø Premiere of the Photoplay/Turner documentary Garbo, presented in person by Kevin Brownlow
Ø Screenings of a restored print of Queen Christina (restored print) and Ninotchka
Ø Keynote address by Professor Lucy Fischer, author of Sunrise, and Designing Women: Art Deco, Cinema and the Female Form
